Energy Safety Canada: Fall Protection

Designed to educate the worker in the planning, use, care and implementation of common fall protection systems, it includes both theory and practical application exercises. Participants will engage in hands-on training activities, including inspecting, fitting, adjusting and connecting fall protection systems and components.

Why Fall Protection Certification Matters

Falls from height are among the most common causes of serious work-related injuries and deaths in the workplace. This fall protection training was developed to meet the highest standards for training in most Canadian jurisdictions using Canadian Standards Associations (CSA) Z259.

Fall Protection is also a pre-requisite for aerial work platform/elevated work platform courses.

Course Requirements

To participate in the Fall Protection course, all students must present government-issued photo ID.

Training Equipment

The fall protection equipment that students will use and see at Safety Connections is current, functional, and industry-relevant. Participants will also inspect equipment that is damaged or worn, and inspect the same.
