Forklift

The safe operation of forklifts is critical in protecting operators and other workers. The course provides participants a general understanding of the safe and efficient operation of an industrial powered fork truck.

The course stresses the importance of Occupational Health and Safety as it relates to lift truck training; teaches the components and weight, stability, and speed characteristics of lift trucks; teaches about safe handling of the fuels and batteries used in lift trucks; teaches the safe operating techniques of a lift truck, and teaches how to perform a daily maintenance and safety check on a truck.

There are no pre-requisites to take the Forklift course.
